more than 1000 Agricultural students were oriented on the code and conducts guiding Examination in university of Ilorin

             

                    Examination Malpractice has being a major problem in the world of today among student in all academic section, Primary, secondary and Tertiary institutions.
University Of Ilorin is not left out in this as they record several Examination Malpractice cases Every year both in computer based test and Paper based test.
                 In view to this The Faculty Of Agriculture Lecture and seminar Committee under the leadership of Prof, OLAYINKA, Ramota Karim in conjunction with Nigerian Association of Agricultural Student's (NAAS)  organise a free day Seminar tagged "CONDUCTS OF EXAMINATION IN UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN" .
This programme is designed to sensitise student of the faculty about the DO's and DONT's of Examination particularly In University Of Ilorin.

Prof, Stephen Bolu and Dr(Mrs) Kolawole which happened to be the Guest speaker made the students know more about examination malpractices and ways of which student can overcome the traumatic behind Exam malpractices. Also they laid emphasis on how student can overcome examination malpractice.

Part of the lesson students got at the lecture are listed below

  1.  Using Of ID card
  2. Signing a of Course form
  3.  Dress Decently
DON'T
  1.  Late to exam hall
  2.  Write For others 
  3.  Bring any electronic gadget to the hall
  4.  Exchange material during examination 
  5.  Leave the hall untill 75% time allocated for the paper has passed.




In attendance the Dean faculty of Agriculture, The subdean, HOD Of all Department, Faculty Officer, Faculty Lecturers, Faculty counsellor, NAAS Executives among others duly participate in the programme.

Conclusively the student were able to know more about the code of conducts guiding the examination..

Kwara Agriculture youth development programme


2020 FULLY FUNDED KWARA AGRICULTURE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: CALL FOR APPLICATIONS (2020 KWAYDP)*

Applications are open for the Kwara Agriculture Youth Development Program 2020. The Kwara Agriculture network as part of its commitments towards promoting sustainable development through agriculture invites applications from youths, students and women in agriculture and related studies to participate in the fully funded youth development program come 2020.
This year’s program has a target of supporting young elite Agriprenuers as well as the subsistent rural farmers in other to boost overall yield and productivity in the nation. The program shall support 1000 beneficiaries in four major agricultural fields.
Additionally, the program shall provide opportunity to learn and apply virtual principles and practices in real agricultural productivity while enhancing agro-processing of various agricultural commodities. The 2020 KWAYDP will take place from January, 2020 through June 2020 in Kwara state, federal republic of Nigeria.
Who we are?
The Kwara Agriculture Network is a duly registered non-governmental organisation with a team of zealous agricultural youths and practitioners who are passionate about developing the agricultural sector of the economy. It is a grass root nonpartisan volunteer based group whose motive is to provide youths hands on farming opportunities, food for the local community and a place for community building multi-disciplinary education and research. It also seek to create awareness of agriculture and promote improvements in the quality of agriculture through Judicious use of ICT. This initiative also plans to drive innovations, promote interdisciplinary dialogue and spark debates to generate solutions to domestic food waste, food losses and resilience of aspiring farmers. About the program:
Kwara Agriculture Youth Development Program (KWAYDP) is a fully funded agricultural empowerment (support) program that offers youth the opportunity to practice various agricultural activities. This year, it gives room for four major agricultural fields and subsectors). These are;
Fish farming.
Poultry farming (layers and local breeds).
Crop farming (majorly soya beans, fruits and vegetables) and
Animal rearing (Goat and snail farming).
The program is targeted at increasing food security and safety. It provides an opportunity for 1000 youths to practice agriculture of their choices and interest. After harvesting, availability of a ready market makes the program much unique since the network will serve as an off taker to the produced commodities. .  All beneficiaries after undergoing a training session on the chosen agricultural field shall be offered  with individual field pack termed “KWAYDP STARTER PACK” worth of 500,000. Afterwards, the produce sales belongs to the beneficiary based on terms and conditions of the network. It aims at:
Empowering devoted youths in agriculture
Encourage agricultural professionalism through a combined session of training courses and filed experience after which certificates are awarded.
Improving the health of citizens through nutritious diet intake.
Providing free consultancy and extension services by a team of experienced experts in modern and sustainable agriculture.
Using a case study methodology, fellows identify new solutions to improve agricultural output. Over the course, the fellows are taken through a short-term training exercise prior to the empowerment program. This will give a room for further enlightenment of youths devoted to agriculture but lacks proper technical know-how on the field of choice.
The program is designed by faculty of talented experts who works with a cohort of fellows to explore a value chain approach in field operation in other to promote agricultural development.  After a period of 6 months, the network will serve as an off taker to provide a ready market for the products.

Be a Nigerian citizen within the age bracket of 19-35.

Be physically and mentally fit for the program.

Be willing and ready to participate in the program with total commitments.
